A Great Start: Big Win In First Cup Match

The squad kicked off the 2021 season tonight in a first round match of the USASA National Amateur Cup. Vlora FC took on familiar opponent Turbo Sports FC at McMurray Athletic Fields in St. Paul, MN. Vlora got off to a fast start scoring an early goal by Alvaro Arce (Romaine Garrick). Following, Adonay Hanns was able to make it 2-0 on a cross from Arce after making a great move to cut inside from the wing. Vlora was able cement the lead when Garrick was able to score a third goal for home side making it 3-0 heading into the half. Coming out of the break Vlora was able to maintain their level play and eventually extended their lead with a goal from substitute Frank Rojas (Martin Cortes). Finally, Garrick was able to make it 5-0 by scoring a his second goal (Cristian Pulgarin). Ramone McKeithan recorded the shutout.
