Today’s a chance for Vlora to introduce its new content writer, Dominic José Bisogno.
I will be your guide to following Vlora FC through their seasons, as well as highlighting important events during the offseason. I have been working in and around Minnesota’s lower league soccer scene since 2017, collaborating with the likes of Sota Soccer, E Pluribus Loonum, and clubs like Duluth FC and 18×26 Academy.
I am currently the sports editor for Sun Post community newspaper, covering sports in Brooklyn Park, Brooklyn Center, Robbinsdale, New Hope, Crystal, and Golden Valley.
I look forward to deep diving into Vlora’s history and future and helping fans old and new follow the people’s club through the 2025 season. My mission is to help every-day fans stay up-to-date on what Vlora’s doing, how it’s getting done, and why it matters.
Lower league soccer has played a big role in my life and my passion for it continues to burn bright. I value clubs that approach this scene with respect, passion, and ambition. I feel I’ve found a great home for that at Vlora FC and I cannot wait to get going.
North East United
Vlora FC recently announced a partnership with North East United Soccer Club (NEU), a youth club based in Maplewood, MN. The partnership will help both clubs continue their missions to foster, nurture, and highlight Minnesotan soccer talent on and off the pitch, with Vlora providing opportunities for young players to shine on a new stage, while NEU will help Vlora continue to connect to the youth soccer landscape.
NEU describes themselves as a passionate group that looks to provide structure and fun for youth players.
“[NEU] is a non-profit organization whose goal is to foster a safe, fun and educational experience for all youth in our program,” a statement on their website explains. “We are committed to excellence in sportsmanship, leadership and teamwork on and off the pitch and encourage social, civic, educational skills that transcends the soccer field.”

Tryouts
Vlora hosted academy tryouts recently to find the right talent for our U17/U19 teams. Hosted at Edina’s Braemer Field on Nov. 20, the tryouts featured 23 participants, a list packed with talented players from around the metro and Minnesota as a whole.
U19 head coach Ryan McGee was at the heart of it all, while board members Katie Brink, Vince Knox, and Abdullahi Abdullahi joined club president Adi Bilani and North East United Director of Coaching Walter Ayala in overseeing and helping facilitate the tryouts.
Tryouts for the UPSL premier and division one teams will take place on Dec. 20, hosted at the Brooklyn Park Dome at Park Center High School. Further information can be found here.
Women’s tryouts will be held on Dec 17th, from 9 to 11 p.m. at TCO Sports Garden in Vadnais Heights. Further information can be found here.
