Tenacious In A Hard Fought Win

Vlora FC faced familiar foe FC Minneapolis in a UPSL Division match Wednesday night at St. Louis Park High School. Two teams who are vary familiar with one another since Vlora FC’s inaugural UPSL season in 2019. In a match that saw a number chances created by both squads, it would be Vlora FC who struck first off a nicely placed shot from forward Uhunoma Fredrick-Ilekhuoba (Wilson Guevara). Fredrick-Ilekhuoba has now scored a goal in three of the last four matches for Vlora FC. While the forward has been crucial in with his role in squad it was center back Hector Trigueros who marveled last evening on numerous occasions throughout the match. Trigueros was really the heart of the squad denied many chances with his relentlessness and brute strength, earning him man of the match. Goalkeeper Vaclav Hasenohrl earned his fourth (sixth in all competitions) clean sheet of season in the 1-0 victory.

Vlora FC finally sit alone at the top of the table after Minneapolis City SC defeat Dakota Young Stars FC 1-0 on the road. Vlora FC will face Dakota Young Stars FC in their next match this Sunday, June 5th at home. This will be yet another very important match for the team to pick up points and remain unbeaten.
