On a busy day for the club Vlora FC saw positive results at the adult and youth levels. For a lack of better words, today was a good day! First, on the men’s level Vlora took a mixed UPSL and MASL roster to Eau Claire to face Bateaux FC. The friendly against reigning WPASL Champions was Vlora’s first UPSL-WPASL matchup. Furthermore, it was a one-sided game where Vlora FC beat Bateaux 11-0. Three Vlora players finished with a hat-trick; Nathan Casas, Frank Rojas, and Adonay Hanns. Johapson Cetina scored the remaining two goals.
In addition, Vlora saw some very positive results at the youth level. The U17 and U18 Boys (competed in Male U19 group) teams were in action this weekend and took part in the NSC Kick-Off Challenge. U17’s finished top of their group and advanced to the final with wins over Fusion SC Select 2 and Kelix Intra SC (8-2 and 1-0, respectively) and a 1-1 tie with North Suburban SA Academy 1. Moreover, the U17’s claimed a solid 4-0 victory over Kelix Intra SC. The U18’s finished top of their group with wins over North Suburban SA Storm and Prior Lake SC (6-2 and 2-1, respectively). In the knockout rounds the U18’s beat Tempo Soccer Club Thunderbolts 6-0 semi-final and ultimately beat Minnesota Rush 5-1 in the final.
