Vlora FC emerge as the top seed for the UPSL 2022 Midwest West Division playoffs. They finish the regular season undefeated with 26 points. Many may think this squad has exceeded preseason expectations because how the team finished last season. When comparing the stats from last season Vlora finished with 26 pts as opposed to 6 pts last season; 21 goals scored to 7 (2021); 5 goals against to 15 (2021). However, accomplished the club feels right now they are not satisfied yet.
Rounding out the rest of the playoffs are Minneapolis City SC who all finish undefeated (7-3-0, 24 pts). Behind them are FC Minneapolis (7-1-2, 22 pts) and Dakota Young Stars FC (6-3-1, 21 pts) to round out the four-team playoff. This season is a huge accomplishment as Vlora improved from there 8th place finish last season. The Midwest Division Playoffs will kickoff on Wednesday as Top seed Vlora FC will host Dakota Young Stars. In the other semifinal Minneapolis City SC will host FC Minneapolis. The Divisional final will take place on Saturday, June 25th.
