NISA INDEPENDENT CUP
With Vlora FC Men’s UPSL Premier season coming to an end, that does not mean they are done playing futbol. Vlora FC was invited this year to take part in the 2024 NISA Independent Cup. The National Independent Soccer Association (NISA) began in 2019 and is sanctioned in the third tier of American soccer pyramid with the likes of MLS NEXT Pro and USL League One. In 2020 NISA created the NISA Independent Cup that would feature independent professional teams against high quality amateur teams in a regional format. Vlora FC has been invited to participate in this year’s cup as one of the 30 teams competing.
Vlora FC will compete in the Great Lakes Region that also features Michigan Stars FC (NISA), Inter Detroit (Midwest Premier League), Dakota Fusion FC (National Premier Soccer League), Milwaukee Torrent (National Premier Soccer League), and Pass FC (UPSL). The tournament will be a single elimination bracket with six teams in each of the five regions. Vlora FC will face off against Dakota Fusion FC on July 7th, at Jim Gotta Stadium in Moorhead, MN. Kickoff will be at 5:30pm CT.
