As Vlora FC men’s UPSL team starts to make plans for the 2024 season there will be a new face in club. we This week the club announced the signing of Christian “EL Recodo” Valdez to be the new UPSL Men’s Head Coach. Valdez is a former professional midfielder from Mazatlán, Sinaloa, Mexico. Between 2004 and 2020, he scored 22 career goals and 9 assists in 491 appearances with Atlas, Chiapas, Morelia, Puebla, León, Veracruz, Leones Negros, and Jaguares de Jalisco. Some of the goals he scored were against America & Chivas who are the giants of Mexican soccer. From 2021-2023 Valdez coached Olympians FC, an El Mirage, AZ based UPSL team, leading them to victory at the Fall 2022 national championship on February 5, 2023. With the signing of Christian Valdez, a lot of eyes will be on Vlora FC next season.
