Vlora FC & Minneapolis City Futures Meet Again

The stage is set for yet another UPSL Midwest West Division playoff meeting between Vlora FC and Minneapolis City Futures. Vlora FC clinch a spot in the playoffs after drawing 2-2 with St. Paul Blackhawks on Wednesday. They will face 1st place Minneapolis City Futures in the Midwest West Divisional semi-final tonight Sunday, June 25th at Augsburg University – Edor Nelson Field, kicking off at 7pm.

Last year both teams met in the division playoffs final last year. A game that definitely had you on the edge of your seat as it went all the way to penalty kicks. Minneapolis City Futures would prevail 5-3 and as the 2022 Midwest West Division Champions. While the Mpls City Futures hope to repeat their success from last season, Vlora FC definitely plan to spoil that celebration this time around. Vlora has had some ups and downs but definitely have a squad full talent that shouldn’t be taken for granted. The last few meetings between these two clubs have resulted in two regular season 1-1 draws and Mpls City Futures win in penalty kick in last years final. Winner advances to the 2023 Midwest West Final and faces the winner of St. Croix SC and Superior City FC set to play tonight as well.
