USASA National Amateur Cup

Last night Vlora FC kicked off the USASA National Amateur Cup by hosting Wisconsin opponent Red Star SC. The squad got off to strong start by scoring three goals in the first half and maintained a large amount of the possession. The squad continued their control of game by scoring three more goals in the second half and securing a 6-0 win in the first-round matchup. The goals and assists in order, came from Romaine Garrick (PK), Stanley Luke (Garrick), Adonay Hanns (Robert Cooper), Garrick, Christian Pulgarin (Matthias Caspari), and Stanley Luke.

Vlora FC Head Coach Carter Albrecht had this to say after the match. “Tonight’s result was an important one. Not only advancing in the cup, but also for us to push on from. We were excellent for the vast majority of the first half. However, our identity and mentality has become irreproachable. When it does, we’ll pose a unique challenge for any side we face.”

With yesterday’s win the club advances to the second round of the Region II Amateur cup where they will face Kansas based club, Focus FC.
